A large-scale premium residential community in Sharjah requiring a fully integrated KNX-based home automation system. The project involved integrating Daikin DX units that were not directly compatible with KNX or other open communication protocols.

The challenge of this KNX Awards 2026-nominated project was to improve the efficiency of the building’s cooling and heating systems by providing a unified view of energy performance in a single platform.

CODAX needed a simpler and more scalable way to integrate up to 16 LG VRF indoor units into KNX. With a single Intesis gateway, the integration was centralized, reducing hardware requirements and simplifying installation and maintenance.

The project was to create a holistic solution based on KNX technology, incorporating the HVAC to the existing platform, and combining air conditioning monitoring and control with the other existing devices and services.

This private residential project consists of three separate buildings, all buildings devices interconnected through one unified KNX automation system.

An automotive manufacturer contacted HMS after recurring network alarms appeared in its SCADA system. Although the alarms had not yet caused production downtime or network failures, the customer wanted to understand the root cause before the issue could develop into a more serious operational problem.
