Measure frequencies and provide analog output for deployment in many applications

IFM Universal Frequency to Analog Converter/Speed Switch

Item number IFM0001

The IFM Universal Frequency to Analog Converter/Speed Switch is a high-performing signal conditioner that offers unmatched frequency transmission capability. Detachable programming window makes it easy to program and recalibrate the device, as well as mirror existing configurations to save time.

Features and benefits

  • Wide range of frequency inputs

Measures frequency inputs (NPN, PNP, Tacho, & TTL) from 1 Hz to 100 KHz.

  • Fully isolated and protected

2.3 kVAC, 3-port galvanic isolation. All terminals are over-voltage protected (24 VDC), polarity protected and short-circuit protected.

  • Flexible output

Programmable bipolar mA / V or relay. Provides an analog output proportional to the input signal.

  • User-selectable current output

Active and passive current output ±23 mA / 0 to 23 mA.

  • User-selectable voltage output

    Buffered voltage output ±10 VDC.

  • Built-in relay output

Provides over-speed, under-speed or zero-speed detection. Output relay with windows, setpoint and latch functionality.

  • Program once and download to other units

Easy to configure using the detachable programming display module (PGMMOD). Save time by programming one unit and downloading the configuration to others.

  • Easy installation

Units can be mounted side by side, horizontally and vertically, without air gap on a standard DIN rail – even at 60 °C ambient temperature.

  • Designed for harsh environments

Engineered to deliver uncompromising performance in demanding environments.

  • Industry certified

    UL-listed approval.

  • Universal power supply

Universal power supply with 21.6 to 253 VAC and 19.2 to 300 VDCs.
