The ARCJ1BZ0 is a rugged cast aluminum ring kit that mounts between a NEMA 143TC motor and a gear case. It includes a 60-tooth sensing gear (7/8" bore) and a Hall Effect Speed Sensor (HESS). Unlike magnetic pickups, this kit tracks rotation from 0 Hz up to 10 kHz with an NPN output.
Equipped with a Hall Effect Speed Sensor (HESS) that provides constant pulse output down to 0 RPM, making it ideal for slow moving machinery and precision positioning.
Specifically engineered to fit standard NEMA 143TC, 145TC, 182C, and 184C motor frames with a precision-machined 7/8" (0.875") gear bore.
Features a 3-wire NPN transistor output (sinking up to 30 mA) that interfaces directly with PLCs, motion controllers, and Red Lion rate meters like the PAX series.
The ring includes an integrated, gasketed junction box with dual 1/2" NPT conduit entries, ensuring moisture tight protection for electrical terminations.
Includes a 60-tooth steel sensing gear that provides a simple 1 Hz = 1 RPM conversion, eliminating complex scaling math for tachometer displays.
While it excels at low speeds, the sensor is rated for frequencies up to 10 kHz, allowing it to track shafts rotating at up to 10,000 RPM (though the gear is rated to 5,000 RPM).
This all-in-one kit arrives ready to install with the aluminum ring, factory set Hall Effect sensor, 60-tooth gear, and all necessary mounting hardware.
