How to Setup Your PAXTM/CK to Use F1 & F2 Buttons for Start/Stop Functionality of Timer

Background

This article serves as an instructional step by step to configuring your PAXTM/CK to have timer start/stop functionality with the front F1 & F2 buttons. In order to complete this configuration, you will need to use one of the applicable setpoint output cards listed in the pre-requisites section. 

 

APPLICABLE PRODUCTS 

PAXTM000, PAXTM010, PAXCK000, PAXCK010

 

PRE-REQUISITES 

Setpoint Output Card - PAXCDS10, PAXCDS20, PAXCDS30, PAXCDS60.

Jumper Wires - (2) Wire Gage: 30-14 AWG copper wire

Configuration (Module 1 - INP)

  1. Power on meter and press PAR button to enter programming menu
  2. You will see PRO NO flashing, press F1 once to view 1 - INP, press Par to enter module
  3. Parameters: Press PAR to navigate through each parameter, use F1 & F2 keys to change parameter values.
    • rANGE = HH.NN.SS (or whatever your input range is)
    • Inp OP = LEVEL
    • Filter = ON
    • t Dir = UP
    • t Strt = 00.00.00
    • t stop = NO
    • flash = NO
    • t P-UP = NO
  4. Press Par until you see END, then press PAR again to save settings and exit to main display

 

Configuration (Module 2 - FNC)

  1. From main display, Press PAR to enter programming menu.
  2. You will see PRO NO flashing, press the F1 button twice to view 2 - FNC, Press Par button to enter module.
  3. Press PAR button until you see F1
  4. Program F1 key = OSET - E (Start Timer)
  5. Press PAR button until you see F2
  6. Program F2 key = ORST-E (Stop Timer)
  7. Press PAR button until you see RST
  8. Program RST = drST - E (Reset Timer)
  9. Press PAR button until you are out to main menu

 

Configuration (Module 6 - SPT)

  1. From main display, Press PAR button to enter programming menu
  2. You will see PRO NO flashing, press the F1 key until you see6 - SPT, Press PAR to enter module.
  3. SPSEL = SP - 1, Press PAR
    • ASN - 1 = NONE
    • ACT - 1 = LATCH
    • OUT - 1 = NOR
    • ON - 1 = VALUE
    • SP - 1 = 000000
    • tSTP - 1 = NO
    • LIT - 1 = Nor
    • P-UP-1 = OFF
  4. Press PAR button until you are back to main display. 

 

Wiring From Setpoint to Input A

PAXCDS10 - Dual Relay Output Card
  1. Jumper from Terminal 20 (N.O.) to Terminal 5 (input A)
  2. Jumper from Terminal 22 (common) to Terminal 4 (common)

PAXCDS20 - Quad Form A Relay Output Card

  1. Jumper from Terminal 20 (N.O.) to Terminal 5 (input A)
  2. Jumper from Terminal 21 (common) to Terminal 4 (common)

PAXCDS30 - Quad Sinking Open Collector Output Card

  1. Jumper from Terminal 20 (common) to Terminal 4 (common)
  2. Jumper from Terminal 21 (O1 snk) to Terminal 5 (input A)

PAXCDS60 - Quad Form C Relay Output Card

  1. Jumper from Terminal 20 (N.O.) to Terminal 5 (input A)
  2. Jumper from Terminal 22 (common) to Terminal 4 (common
