This guide provides guidance how to setup a redundant switch network using N-Tron 5000 series in combination with a redundant firewall setup using Anybus Defender.
2 x Anybus Defender 6xxx or higher with PRO licenses
3 x N-Tron 5000 Switch

Navigate to Redundancy -> N-Ring -> Config
Set Ring Mode to “Manager”.
Set Port Set (ID) to the ports you want to use.
Connect the other switches to the selected ports.
Navigate to Redundancy -> N-Ring -> Status
Here you will see the Ring Health, the other switches as members and any breaks that has/will happen in the N-Ring.
Navigate to Redundancy -> N-Ring -> Port Sets
Here you can add new ports to be used in a N-Ring.
Press the big + and you will get a new row, write an ID and choose two ports to be used in the N-Ring.

Please make sure to connect LAN ports to 2 different switches in the N-Ring for resilient configuration.
