How To Check Monthly Consumption and Billing Details in Your Talk2m Account

Inside the ECatcher application, you can review the consumption details of your Talk2m account. This includes information on VPN traffic, Datamailbox uploads, SMS usage, and other related activities, helping you monitor and manage your account effectively.

PRE-REQUISITES

You must have administrator rights on your Talk2m account to view and export the monthly billing reports using the Ecatcher application.

IN THIS ARTICLE 

Open the Credit and payments window

• Open the Account menu and scroll down to the 'Credit & Contract' section.
• On the lower right corner, click on the "Credit and Payments..." button.

Information Available on this window:

• Credit Balance and Current Month consumption:
  At the top, the screen shows: 
  -    Credit balance as of the current date and time 
  -    Current month estimated additional consumption
• Transaction History Table
  Date: When the transaction occurred.
  Description: Type of transaction, such as:
  • Monthly consumption for each month (e.g., September 2025, October 2025).
  • Credit refill (e.g., Talk2m Pro Additional Credit Refill).
  • Credit adjustments or internal account notes.
• Amount: Cost or credit applied (e.g., -750.00 € for monthly consumption, 1800.00 € for credit refill)
• Reference: the transaction reference number for internal tracking 
   

Retrieve the monthly billing or Connection Log report

• Click on the blue arrow to select either the Financial Report or the Connection Log report.

Monthly Financial report content

This report provides a financial overview of your Talk2m account for the selected month. 

It includes: 

• Account balance status (e.g., negative balance warning).
• Monthly billing details for the period (traffic, Datamailbox uploads, SMS, concurrent connections).
• Monthly totals such as: Number of Ewon devices. Total traffic (GB). Total datapoints uploaded to Datamailbox. Total API calls, SMS, and emails.
• Account history showing previous months’ consumption and balance changes.

Why This Report can be useful:

• Monitor Account Balance: Quickly check if your account needs a credit refill to avoid service interruption.
• Track Monthly Usage Costs: Understand what resources (traffic, datapoints, SMS) were billed.
• Plan Budgeting: Helps forecast future costs based on historical usage.
• Ensure Business Continuity: Alerts you when your balance is low so you can take action before services stop.

Monthly Connection Log Report content 

• a summary of individual device usage
• a log of user connection sessions with date, duration, and access type
• details of SMS notifications sent (including recipient and category).

Why This Report can be useful:

• Usage Monitoring: See how much data and traffic your devices consume.
• Billing Verification: Correlate usage with monthly charges.
• Performance Analysis: Identify heavy traffic devices or frequent connections.
• Security & Compliance: Track who accessed which device and when.
