How do I fix switch monitoring errors on my Ewon?

ANSWER

Switch monitoring errors come from the Ewon's built-in Ethernet switch when there is electrical noise the unit cannot tolerate. Here are things you can do to fix the issue:

• Ground the Ewon using the ground terminal on the power connector.
• Use shielded Ethernet cables that are routed away from power wiring or other sources of electrical noise.
• If a long Ethernet cable run is connected directly to the Ewon, add a separate network switch near the Ewon so there's a short cable between the Ewon and the nearest network device.
• Address sources of electrical noise in the environment. This can be an issue if, for example, the Ewon is mounted close to or in the same enclosure as variable frequency drives.
