RTU and I/O – Copy Projects - How to Archive and restore projects in ISaGRAF 3.47

Abstract

Projects in ISaGRAF 3.47 are a collection of files. To move the project from one computer archive the file as a *.pia file (similar to a *.zip file). Then to restore the *.pia file to another computer.

Use Case: Copy, move or archive ISaGRAF projects

 

Required Software

Sixnet I/O Tool Kit 5.0.103

ISaGRAF 3.47

 

Archive the project 

  1. Open ISaGRAF 3.47.
  2. Go to Tools > Archive > Projects.
  3. Click on Browse and find the folder that you want copy the *.pia file to.
  4. Click on Backup file to create the archived file (*.pia).
  5. User windows explorer to move the *.pia file to another computer.

Restore the project on another computer

  1.  Open ISaGRAF 3.47.
  2. Go to Tools > Archive> Projects
  3. Go to Browse and find the file where the *.pia file was copied.
  4. Click Restore and it will be restored to the workbench.
