Interface - E3 Module Status - Read Module Serial Number with Webui or Crimson

06 Jun 2025

Abstract

Each E3 I/O Module has a unique communication serial number located next to it’s MAC address on the data flash door. This communication serial number is sometimes required to communicate with Crimson Configuration Software. The unique serial number is also helpful to identify the module when multiple modules are used int eh same application. Depending on where the module is installed reading that serial number from the label may be difficult to see once installed in cabinet.
