QUESTION
Can I access remotely my Anybus Defender Compact through an Ewon Cosy+/Flexy and Talk2m ?
ANSWER
Yes, the Anybus Defender Compact device can be remotely accessed through Talk2m and Ecatcher thanks to the USB/IP feature of the Ewon Cosy+ and Ewon Flexy.
Go to USBIP on Ewon device:
Or search for USB IP in the search field upper left:
Then enable USBIP, Log level and Start port can be the default, make sure the password field is empty.
Update at the bottom of the page, go to Reboot on the left sidebar and restart the device.
Connect the Defender Compact and the Ewon device using the USB cable from the Compact.
You should see a new USB connection appear on the Ecatcher, press connect and wait until the connection is completed. You can now open the Anybus Defender Compact Manager software and connect to the Anybus Defender Compact using the USB - over the Talk2M connection.
