Defender Compact Manager does not connect to USB: No device connected to your USB

If you see this message after installing the Anybus Defender Compact Manager software, and the USB cable is connected, follow these steps to fix the problem.

QUESTION

Why can't the software detect the Anybus Defender Compact USB connection?

 

ANSWER

 You may have installed the mbConnect Manager software and driver. This driver is not compatible with the Anybus Defender Compact USB driver.

If this software is on your computer, then uninstall the following components: 

  • mbNetfixManager
  • USB Netfix Driver

Next, install the Anybus Defender Compact Manager software again and install the USB driver.

Now everything should work as normal.

 

ADDITIONAL INFO

You can install the Anybus Defender Compact driver from the menu in de Defender Compact Manager software.

In the upper menu bar, select 'Extras - Install USB Driver'.
