  1. Slide a Din rail clip (KME3CLP1) into the base as shown. You should be able to see the spring retention clip.

  2. Place one end of the spring (KHXSPRG1) over the retention pin and compress the other end under the clip with a small flat head screw driver

How to change the front label

  1. Remove the VT RTU module from the base by pressing in on both sides.
  2. Slide a small flathead screw driver on one side of the module to release the plastic latches.

  3. While holding the side open. Slide a small flathead screw driver in the side slot on the other side. Remove the top half of the module.

  4. Slide out the existing label and slide in the new label.

  5. Replace the top half and press down until it snaps into the please.

How to replace a VersaTRAK IPm Module or Base

Replacement Module

    1. VersaTRAK IPm bases contain the IP address and serial number configuration but not the program, I/O Transfers, etc.
    2. Replace the module by removing power. Then remove the module from the base. Plug in the replacement module.
    3. Load the configuration and program from the Sixnet I/O Tool Kit configuration software via Ethernet or serial.

Replacement Base

    1. The base component holds the communication serial number and communication parameters. When replacing the base update the Sixnet I/O Tool Kit configuration with the new serial number and reload via serial.
    2. Remove power. Unwire the old base and re-wire the replacement base.
    3. Load basic configuration via Port B using the included RJ45-DB9F-IPm and a straight-thru Ethernet cable.

How to replace a EtherTRAK-2 Module or Base

Replacement Module

      1. The EtherTRAK-2 base stores all the configuration parameters. To replace a module power down the unit, unplug existing module and plug-in new module.
      2. Once powered up the module will be operational again.

Replacement Base

      1. Power down the I/O Module and base. Unwire the base and rewire the new one.
      2. Plug the old module into the replacement base. Load the configuration from the Sixnet I/O Tool Kit via Ethernet.
