Position Summary 

 The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Logistics Center in York, PA. Managing the receiving, handling, storage, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality standards and on time delivery are met or exceeded. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for inventory accuracy, creating a high performing team, and maintaining a productive and safe work environment. This includes managing employees, implementing procedures to meet KPIs and optimizing warehouse processes.  

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of up to 15 warehouse employees to achieve operational goals 
  • Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction the primary goal by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and monitoring, and managing operational goals 
  • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals 
  • Oversee receiving, picking, packing and shipping, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers 
  • Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service 
  • Together with HR recruit and onboard new team members 
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide performance feedback to team members 
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and identify and act on all potential risks  
  • Ensure high quality shipping processes to meet company goals and objectives 
  • Ensure efficient space utilization in the logistics center 
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and identify areas for improvement 
  • Invite and contribute to a collaborative atmosphere with both internal and external stakeholders such as Customer service teams, planning departments, vendors and suppliers 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business preferred, or a combination of experience and education will be considered. 
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks and provide constructive feedback 
  • Experience with Inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse management systems (WMS) 
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

Working Conditions 

  • Must be able to stand, move and walk frequently 
  • Will move and transport up to 50 lbs occasionally 
  • Must be able to climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl occasionally
