The most important feature that has been brought to eCatcher is a routing improvement.
Previously, while using eCatcher, you needed to make sure the LAN IP address of your computer (using eCatcher) was set in a different network range than the one used by the LAN interface of your remote Ewon.
For example: your computer network range and the Ewon LAN range could not be both in 192.168.1.xxx/24.
As of eCatcher 6.5, the network IP range of the computer using eCatcher can be the same as the network IP range of the remote Ewon LAN interface. The only requirement is to list each LAN device of the Ewon inside eCatcher.
For example: your computer network range and the Ewon LAN range can be both in 192.168.1.xxx/24.
Another feature worth mentioning is the ability to change the VPN driver mode: switch from netsh to DHCP within the eCatcher interface instead of editing manually configuration files. Learn more on our eCatcher online help.
