We are seeking an experienced and high-performing Sales Engineer to expand Anybus* Ewon* IXXAT* brand of Factory automation products within East China.

The candidate will report to the Manager of System Level Business Team for HMS China (based in Beijing). The vacant position is based in Suzhou and expected to travel within East China or Beijing.

Primary focus shall be to develop HMS Direct Sales in Factory Automation and Machine Builders sector according to growth strategies and plans.

Key job responsibilities include (but not limited to); 

  • Driving specification and usage of the Anybus®, IXXAT® and eWON® product families with a primary focus on Machine Builders and Factory automation; requires the individual to be competent in digital hardware and PLC programming; along with the basic industrial fieldbus and Ethernet protocol knowledge (Modbus,Profibus,EtherNet/IP, Profinet, etc.)
  • Managing active customer accounts and identifying new opportunities within those accounts
  • Identifying prospect accounts and making sales calls
  • Acting as a representative of HMS at industry events and meetings
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
  • Maintaining records of customer communication and sales activity in our CRM and established internal communication systems
  • Maintaining a high degree of technical knowledge to allow in-depth technical presentations and discussions with customers
  • Developing account of machine builders to grow our business with it
  • Organize product test, sales and technical workshop for the customers

Ideal candidates should have at least 2+ years of relevant industry experience and contacts, with a proven record in Sales, Pre-sales, account management, business development and/or technical services role.

Candidates with technical competency in factory automation and PLC programming is perfect.

Travelling within east China (~50%) or sometimes in Beijing will be expected.

Candidates applying for this position should be self-driven, practical, social and collaborative in their approach, with positive thinking. Previous experience working in Factory Automation/Machine builder industry will be an advantage.
