HMS Sweden Co-Lab (2)

With Sweden as the designated partner country to the Hannover Fair 2019, Swedish companies will be positioned as world-leading providers of smart industrial solutions under the theme Sweden Co-Lab. One of these innovative players is HMS Networks, world-leading supplier of solutions for industrial communication and the Industrial Internet of Things, IIoT, and long-lasting exhibitor at Hannover Fair. Anders Hansson, Chief Marketing Officer at HMS, sheds some thoughts on HMS, the Hannover Fair and the Sweden Co-Lab Pavilion.

How important is the Hannover Fair as a meeting place for industry and world-leading innovations for HMS Networks?

The Hannover Fair has been key for HMS’ business development in Germany as well as globally for many years. The fair is unique since it always attracts visitors from a wide range of industries, and with topics like Industrie 4.0 and IIoT creating attention across industries, Hannover is the perfect place for HMS to showcase our solutions. I believe that Hannover will keep its important position as a meeting place for innovation. We always have our own booth where we show our entire offering for industrial communication and IIoT and we expect good business from discussions with visitors this year. We always use the Hannover Fair as a launchpad for new solutions and this year will be no exception - so make sure to visit our booth (Hall 8, booth D31)!

This year is very special for HMS since we are also participating in the Sweden Co-Lab Pavilion in Hall 27 and the 5G Arena in Hall 16. We see that 5G and collaboration will be very much in focus this year at Hannover, further reinforcing Hannover as a good meeting ground for discussions about new technologies for the industry.

What are you going to present at the Sweden Co-Lab Pavilion and the 5G Arena?

Both in the Sweden Co-Lab Pavilion and the 5G Arena, HMS will focus on showcasing how we are connecting devices with the latest wireless/cellular 5G technology. The main attraction will be in the Sweden Co-Lab Pavilion where HMS, together with other leading Swedish companies such as Ericsson and ABB, will be part of an innovative demo which is fully aligned with the vision of Industrie 4.0. The demo integrates material handling and factory automation into one solution for smart manufacturing, in which HMS enables data connectivity and flexible control over 5G between all connected devices. This should not be missed!

What do you think that Sweden as partner country at Hannover Fair will mean for Swedish industry in general?

Same as for HMS as a company, Sweden as a nation will have an opportunity to present and reinforce its position as an innovative industrial country with state-of-the-art technology and solutions for the future. Much of Sweden’s success has been achieved through collaboration - within Sweden as well as with companies from other strong industrial countries like Germany. The Swedish Co-Lab theme highlights this fact which I think is great. It’s clear that we need international collaboration to solve future global challenges.
