One of the leading US manufacturers of backup power generator has selected Netbiter gateways as their hardware platform for remote monitoring and control. The solution will be used by the manufacturer of power generators for life-cycle management and service of the generators deployed by a broad customer base around the world.

Netbiter will be used for remote monitoring and control of diesel-powered generators for the “Electrical Power” division. The initial usage for these generators is “Rental Power Units” as well as “Portable Power Units” within industrial applications. These devices will ultimately be used in applications such as “Retail Power”, “Construction”, “Mining” and “Telecom”. An initial order of USD 0.8 m has been received and the total business volumes for 2016 is estimated to USD 1.5 m.

“Netbiter was an ideal fit and we are very pleased they have chosen to use our gateways for remote monitoring and control”, says Kevin Knake, Executive Vice President & General Manager of HMS North America. “Remote monitoring will give this customer online access to their power units which will result in reduced downtime and faster problem resolution.”
