Anybus JAVA Software Development Kit

The Anybus JAVA SDK (Software Development Kit) gives increased usability to the Anybus gateway products Anybus Communicator RS232/422/485 and Anybus X-gateway (classic version with aluminum housing).

Almost any type of data conversion, protocol handling and logical functionality is possible using the Anybus JAVA SDK.

HMS has introduced a JAVA Virtual Machine (JVM) and a file system within the gateway products Anybus Communicator RS232/422/485 and Anybus X-gateway classic. To provide this increased functionality, HMS has also introduced a library of ready made “native” Anybus functions making it easy to read/write data to DPRAM and serial ports.

Anybus X-gateway
No changes are required to the standard Anybus X-gateway product to support JAVA applications. Part numbers for the Anybus X-gateway will remain the same. At start-up, an LED light indicates if the module has been loaded with the JAVA application software made with the JAVA SDK.

Anybus Communicator
The JAVA-enabled Communicator uses a different hardware compared to the standard Communicator (larger memory), thus HMS has created new part numbers for the JAVA enabled version.
