FIPIO Serial Gateway

The Anybus Communicator Gateway for FIPIO is an external DIN-rail mounted gateway which provides FIPIO network connectivity via a serial RS232/RS422/RS485 interface.

It has serial protocol support for Modbus RTU Master Mode and Generic Data Mode which is fully configurable through the Anybus Configuration Manager for Windows and the configuration port on the Anybus Communicator. Other protocols can be implemented by HMS on request.

FIPIO station adress can be selected via switches on the front side of the module. A transformer connection on the module provides a isolated fieldbus interface.

A FIPIO network can consist of up to 255 different modules. Each segment of the bus can handle 32 modules. The total amount of IO data (cyclic data) for one FIPIO module are maximum 64 bytes output and maximum 64 bytes input.

The delivery comes complete with a DSUB connector with screw terminals for the serial sub-network, CD with Configuration Software and User Manuals, RS232 Configuration Cable and a short Installation Leaflet for the electrical installation.
