Serial RS-232/485 via Ethernet to PC Virtual COM port

 Anybus Serial Server

Anybus Serial Server

The Anybus Serial Server connects devices with an RS-232 or RS-485 interface via Ethernet to a virtual COM-Port of a Windows PC. The virtual COM-Port on the PC is created by the SerialIP driver Software, which is included in the scope of supply

PC applications designed to access devices via physical COM-Ports, can access the remote device without any software modifications via the Serial Server and the Ethernet network. The Serial Server and its Software driver can be viewed as a long “virtual” serial cable.

Anybus Serial Server has advanced features for the processing of real time protocols such as Modbus-RTU, Siemens MPI and DF1. This allows remote configuration of Schneider Electric, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs via the Internet. Read More
